Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026 Responsible / Provider Teodoro Morcone, sole proprietorship «Teodoro Morcone Nachhilfe» Eichbühlstrasse 33, 8004 Zurich, Switzerland Email: info@teodoro.ch · Tel.: +41 76 244 02 59 Lessons: exclusively online via Zoom Hosting: Domain registration and DNS are administered in Switzerland; the public website, backups, and application logs are operated on Render (cloud hosting; provider headquartered in the United States). Details on cross-border processing are in the Privacy Notice.
1. Scope
These terms govern the contractual relationship between the Provider and clients who book mathematics tutoring or exam preparation.
Deviations apply only if confirmed in writing.
2. Services & lesson format
Lessons take place exclusively online via Zoom.
Lesson content, scope, and learning objectives are agreed during the consultation or booking process.
3. Contract formation & booking (Calendesk)
For scheduling and payment status I use the third-party tool Calendesk (EU). Booking is made via the Calendesk link published on this website or via a link shared directly.
The lesson agreement is concluded directly between the client and the Provider.
Calendesk solely provides the technical booking and scheduling platform; Calendesk’s own terms apply when you use that tool, without changing the tutoring relationship between you and the Provider.
Completing a booking confirms the then-current Terms & Conditions and Privacy Notice; I log the version, timestamp, and booking ID as proof.
4. Prices, taxes & payment
The prices published on the website in CHF apply.
Taxes: Teaching services are excluded from Swiss VAT regardless of turnover (Art. 21 para. 2 no. 11 MWSTG). VAT registration depends only on turnover from non-excluded services (Art. 10 para. 2 let. a MWSTG), which is currently below CHF 100,000; therefore no VAT is charged.
Payment: before the lesson via Stripe payment link (e.g., card, Twint).
Electronic receipts are provided; no additional payment fees apply.
Price basis: adjustments apply only to future bookings; confirmed appointments remain unchanged.
5. Cancellation, rescheduling & no-shows
- Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 24 hours before the booked start time (time zone: Europe/Zurich).
- Cancellation or reschedule requests must be submitted either (a) via the scheduling link in your appointment reminder or (b) by email to info@teodoro.ch. The timestamp on my systems (time zone Europe/Zurich) is decisive.
- Cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours as well as no-shows are billed at 100% of the lesson fee.
- Goodwill: once per calendar year a goodwill credit may be granted for justified circumstances beyond the client’s control (e.g., acute illness). A short written explanation by email is enough; please do not send medical certificates, diagnoses, or other health data — I do not intentionally collect special-category personal data.
- Late arrival: if the client arrives late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time; no make-up time is owed.
- Provider cancellation: no costs arise; prepaid amounts are credited or an alternative appointment is offered.
6. Programmes, subscriptions & single sessions
Available offerings are the Fit Check, single lessons, and the 10-hour package. The package has a maximum term of 6 months from the booking date; this is an outer scheduling limit, not automatic forfeiture of unused hours. Payment in instalments is not offered.
Fit Check: The Fit Check (about 15 minutes) costs CHF 20 and must be paid before the appointment. If the same client then books a single lesson or a package, the Fit Check fee is refunded (typically as a Stripe refund or credited against the follow-up booking). Without a follow-up booking there is no entitlement to a refund; the fee covers the intro consultation.
The 10-hour package includes 10 lessons, which should be scheduled within a maximum of 6 months from the booking date.
Single sessions are ad-hoc and subject to availability.
Clients may terminate the mandate at any time (Art. 404 CO). If a package is ended early, lessons already taken are billed at the single-lesson rate (CHF 85); any remaining credit is refunded within 30 days. The Fit Check rule above otherwise applies.
7. Client responsibilities
Clients ensure punctuality, an appropriate learning environment, and functioning equipment (stable internet connection, camera, microphone).
8. Lessons with minors
All learners under 18 require written approval from a parent or legal guardian (Art. 19 Swiss Civil Code).
Communication is preferably coordinated together with the guardians.
Full legal names of minors are not used in Zoom without consent.
I collect that consent in writing by email or WhatsApp from a parent/guardian before the first lesson (no online form).
9. Materials, copyright & recordings
Materials supplied by the Provider are protected by copyright and may be used only for personal learning.
Unauthorised audio or video recordings of lessons are prohibited.
Recordings take place only with prior written consent from all participants; any shared recordings remain available for a limited time.
10. Online lessons & technology
Both parties ensure a stable connection and working equipment.
In the event of technical issues, the lesson is extended proportionally or rescheduled free of charge; further claims are excluded.
11. Liability
Liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence remains reserved.
To the extent permitted by law, liability for slight negligence—except for personal injury—is excluded.
No guarantee is given for exam results or grades.
Mandatory statutory rights remain reserved.
12. Withdrawal / refunds
No statutory general right of withdrawal applies to lessons already delivered.
Refunds follow sections 5 and 6 (including the Fit Check rule and early termination under Art. 404 CO) or apply if the Provider cancels.
Unused credit from prepaid packages is refunded within 30 days upon termination, in accordance with section 6.
13. Privacy
The privacy notice published on the website applies in its current version.
14. Governing law & jurisdiction
The offering is directed exclusively at customers with domicile in Switzerland. Bookings from abroad may be declined.
Mandatory consumer venues remain reserved.
Consumers may bring claims at their domicile.
For all other disputes, Zurich is the exclusive venue.
Swiss substantive law applies.
15. Changes to these terms
The Provider may amend these terms at any time.
The version published at the time of booking applies.
